Our Program to Subsidize Under-Resourced Schools

At the heart of our mission is the belief that every student deserves access to high-quality Holocaust education, regardless of a school’s financial resources. To support this commitment, we are fundraising so that we can offer free or donor-supported access whenever possible to schools that serve communities facing economic or structural barriers.

Access is limited only by available donor funding. Schools that do not qualify under these guidelines are still encouraged to reach out — partial subsidies or flexible pricing may be available.

Purchases from fully funded schools help make these opportunities possible. Thank you for supporting equitable access to Holocaust education.

This equity access eligibility policy outlines the criteria we use to determine eligibility in both the United States and Canada. Our goal is to make this process respectful, simple, and rooted in trust.

United States Eligibility Criteria

The following describe the eligibility criteria in the United States:

• The school is designated as a Title I school, or a significant portion of the student population qualifies for Title I services.
• 60% or more of students are eligible for free or reduced-price lunch.
• The school serves a community identified as economically disadvantaged, based on district-level reporting or community indicators.
• The school provides a brief statement outlining financial need and the lack of discretionary funds for curriculum purchases.

Canada Eligibility Criteria

The following describe the eligibility criteria in the Canada:

• The school receives funding under Ontario’s Learning Opportunities Grant (LOG) or a similar equity-based funding stream in other provinces or territories.
• The school is located in a community identified as low-income or underserved according to provincial education or public data sources.
• A high proportion of students face barriers due to socio-economic factors (e.g., food insecurity, limited access to books or technology).
• The school provides a brief statement outlining financial constraints and the importance of access to this curriculum.

Equity Access Application Form

We do not require extensive documentation. To apply for free or donor-supported access:

1. Complete the short eligibility form below. All fields are required, except for the document attachment field.
2. Confirm one or more of the eligibility criteria.
3. Explain your school’s needs and how this curriculum will benefit your students.
4. If needed, attach a documentation to verify your eligability. This will help the process to move faster. If you want to attach more than one document, please email them directly to info@hiddenkatiprestonstory.com.
